Welcome to Willoughby District

Willoughby & District Parish Council covers the parishes of Willoughby, Sloothby and Claxby St Andrews.  It meets monthly (apart from August and December) in the Village Hall on the third Thursday of the month at 8pm.  There is always opportunity for members of the public to attend and to have their say.

The Parish Council oversees the Village Green, a central green space in the village left to the parish many years ago to be retained as a village green.  Lime trees grow along the edge with the road and picnic tables and benches adorn the area.  The Council also oversees the allotments and the adjacent playing field is owned by the Parish Council, which has just taken back management of it.  The Council also contributes towards the maintenance of the churchyard at St Helena's Church in Willoughby, and shares a speed indicator device with neighbouring Welton le Marsh Parish Council.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be at 8pm on Thursday 17th April 2025 in the Village Hall

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on 24th April 2025 at 7:30pm.  Speakers include Mr Roberts who will be talking about the proposals for pylons, substations and associated net zero projects and their impact on Willuoghby and the area in general.
